It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything because of what I’m working on at the moment. However, here is a small article written about the last project we worked on @ Bandito VFX, for the American Military Channel, ‘Ultimate Warfare’.
r/Daily3D - Alien Contact
I wasn’t going to post this one as it’s nowhere near my best work, but whatever, I should still be proud of it I guess!
I tried using Maya for this render, which I’ve recently started learning and have a long way to go. The challenge was to create an Alien character, then composite it into the provided scene.
Daily3D - Skateboard
Another Cinema4D render, this time… of a Skateboard! Entirely polygonal, then making full use of the Hypernurb object. The trucks underneath were a bit of a pain though! This project gave me time to practice UV mapping and texturing with images. Rendered with C4D’s physical render for depth of field.

Daily3D - Home Theatre
A render I made in Cinema4D for reddit.com/r/Daily3D ‘s 4th February challenge. It took me around 3 hours from concept to completion. I didn’t really have any direction when I started this, I just started with the speakers then built around them until the scene looked complete. I’m pretty pleased with it though.
- Alien Contact
I’ve got a bit of catching up to do!!
Dailies - 3rd February
A render in Cinema4D utilising MoText & Cloner, Global Illumination and the Physical render with Depth of Field.
I should have done something like this first really, to kick it all off! Never mind, more to follow shortly!

Big big thank you to LearnAbility for my new toy! (The rather large Wacom).
Look at that obsolete little mouse! Being all… Obsolete!
I’m going to have so much fun playing with this!!
Maya Tutorial - Rigging and animation
It’s been a little while since I updated regarding my little project. Partly because I’ve been filming in Carlisle and partly because when it came to the rigging section of the tutorial there wasn’t much I could show! So here is the latest update. Once rigged, I animated a short looping cycle of the ship in flight. Not long until the project is finished now! Full animation, dynamics, lighting, then it’s render time!
