Hi all,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything because of what I’m working on at the moment. However, here is a small article written about the last project we worked on @ Bandito VFX, for the American Military Channel, ‘Ultimate Warfare’.

r/Daily3D - Alien ContactI wasn’t going to post this one as it’s nowhere near my best work, but whatever, I should still be proud of it I guess!I tried using Maya for this render, which I’ve recently started learning and have a long way to go. The challenge was to create an Alien character, then composite it into the provided scene. - Jamiehttp://JamieBarty.com

Daily3D - Skateboard

Another Cinema4D render, this time… of a Skateboard! Entirely polygonal, then making full use of the Hypernurb object. The trucks underneath were a bit of a pain though! This project gave me time to practice UV mapping and texturing with images. Rendered with C4D’s physical render for depth of field. For more, see my Facebook here, or my Website here.

Daily3D - Home TheatreA render I made in Cinema4D for reddit.com/r/Daily3D ‘s 4th February challenge. It took me around 3 hours from concept to completion. I didn’t really have any direction when I started this, I just started with the speakers then built around them until the scene looked complete. I’m pretty pleased with it though. Next up: - Guitar - Skateboard - Alien ContactI’ve got a bit of catching up to do!! - Jamie

A quick render I made in Cinema4D for http://reddit.com/r/Daily3D ‘s 1st February daily challenge, ‘Chemical Reaction’.I’m not great with Dynamics within C4D at the moment so I didn’t want to push myself too far regarding that. However, I’m pleased with how it turned out. Much much better than my last attempt at placing models within a real scene. (Here is that embarrassing link if anyone is curious! http://i.imgur.com/qMz3CBQ.jpg )For a higher res version of the final result, see here… http://bit.ly/WJOXqoFor more of my work please see my FB page @ http://facebook.com/JamieBartyor my website @ http://JamieBarty.com - Jamie

Maya Tutorial - Rigging and animationIt’s been a little while since I updated regarding my little project. Partly because I’ve been filming in Carlisle and partly because when it came to the rigging section of the tutorial there wasn’t much I could show! So here is the latest update. Once rigged, I animated a short looping cycle of the ship in flight. Not long until the project is finished now! Full animation, dynamics, lighting, then it’s render time! For more progress pictures, see the rest of the album here, My Facebook page here, or my website here.Made following a http://DigitalTutors.com/ tutorial. - Jamie
